This sterling silver Royal Kitty has a 14kt gold crown and a turquoise sphere in its mouth.
The Egyptians used to believe that cats were higher beings & treated them as royalty. When they died, the cats were they buried with their owners so they may together in the afterlife. They were often also entombed with their own jewelry.
